It’s me, hi, I’m Rebeccah Vaclavik, The Marrying Kind. Firstly, congratulations on your engagement! What a wonderful (and slightly surreal) feeling it is to find your forever person. As an Authorised Marriage Celebrant, I’m legally qualified to solemnise marriages in Australia under the Marriage Act 1961. Saying "I do" with a marriage celebrant gives you the freedom to tie the knot, anywhere, anytime - somewhere that is special or significant to you both.
Your ceremony is where it all begins, setting the tone of your afternoon. It’s the moment you stand in front of your favourite people and say, this is my person. It’s where your promises are made. To me, it’s the heart of your wedding day. The most meaningful, magical and sacred part. And yet, somehow, finding a celebrant is often at the bottom of the vendor list. But why? I think it deserves to be anything but an afterthought.
You should choose your celebrant carefully and with intention, find somebody that you gel with, someone that speaks your love language. No-one wants a stale, run-of-the-mill ceremony. (I promise) You want a wedding ceremony with flair, something that is unique, and you certainly want your guests engaged and entertained. Something I pride myself on being able to offer. So, it would be my honour to tell your modern day love story. ​

About me
Thank you for considering me to be a part of your special day. As your celebrant, I’ll take care of everything from the legal paperwork through to creating and delivering a ceremony that feels beautifully, authentically you. A ceremony with soul.
Being your celebrant is about so much more than legalities. I want to get to know you as a couple - the quirks, the stories, the big moments and all the little things that make your relationship yours. I’ll be there to guide you through the process, answer your questions, calm any pre-wedding nerves and, hopefully, become a source of support in the lead-up to your big day.
I’m based in Tamworth in regional NSW, officiating weddings throughout the New England and North West. But I’m also more than happy to pack my bags and travel further afield - because love is always worth the road trip!
With a degree in Communications, my career has taken me through PR and broadcast journalism, giving me a wonderful foundation in creative writing, storytelling and public speaking. I’m also no stranger to the wedding world. My husband and I previously owned and operated a mobile bar business, and more recently I worked as a wedding and event coordinator.

When I'm not celebrating love, I’m “mummy” to two little babes, who are my greatest source of joy. I’m a social butterfly, a hopeless romantic, my favourite colour is pink, I enjoy devouring a great book and having a quiet morning cuppa with my husband. I’m partial to a celebration of just about any kind (because yay for bubbles and good vibes) and I have a serious appreciation for a beautifully styled tablescape. I love homemade pizzas, planning a weekend away, being by the sea and a good glass of wine.​

At heart, I’m a lover of beautiful moments, meaningful connections and a really good story. And that’s probably why being a celebrant feels so wonderfully me.

Ceremony Services
Vow Renewals
Vow renewal ceremonies are a wonderful opportunity for you to recommit to one another, often on a significant anniversary or milestone. No official paperwork is required, just a fun ceremony with your nearest and dearest.
Elopements
Fancy something more intimate? I can also conduct a basic ceremony or elopement, or even just the legal paperwork if you are perhaps tying the knot overseas (lucky ducks).
Not only am I a civil marriage celebrant but I also conduct vow renewals, elopements, and baby naming ceremonies. All of which can be personalised. I will work with you both to ensure you choose the most appropriate and meaningful elements so that your ceremony is a true reflection of you as a couple (or your bub).
